It's a Love Story

 

Megan

The girl who was never going to get married. The girl, who since the age of 6, insisted she didn't need to get married. The girl who fell in love at a Smile.

Siyani

The boy who wasn't 100% sure about the future. The boy who didn't mind living each day in itself and whose only "love" so far in life was loud music and fast cars. The boy whose Smile started it all.

Together

We have found true happiness and love.

He proposed the first time without a ring, but his tears of joy and soft voice full of love asking a question that made my heart skip a beat were enough for me. The thought he put into his proposal with the ring proved further how much he really wanted me to be his because he didn't just accept the fact I had already said yes and just give me a ring, no he did everything he could to surprise me. A picnic under beautiful willow tree with candles and cream puffs, and of course my YES was just as enthusiastically uttered as before.

3 months apart as I travelled to Australia just after we were engaged were another testament to how strong our love is. We missed each other more and more each day and his embrace when I walked off that plane felt like home. There isn't a life or a world I can imagine without him by my side.

May 28th 2011

 Our wedding day was perfect, our style and flare could be seen throughout the whole day. I wore a purple dress and converse sneakers while Siyani wore a silver suit with a pink shirt. My Grandmother played the accordion at our reception while my Mother in Law sang in Russian. At the time I didn't realize how special that truly was, but it turned out that was the last time my Grandmother played before she passed away later that year.

We waited to take our Honeymoon and I have never regretted that decision. We ended up going to Disneyland for their special One More Day promotion where they kept the park open for 24 hours. From 6 am to 6am Siyani and I rode every ride and met every character we could. Siyani has a longtime love for Tigger and that was a highlight of the day, not only meeting Tigger but also getting a video of CC bouncing with him.

The Future

 Our life together is just beginning and our love for one another grows stronger every day. November 4th we leave for our next great adventure, living in Australia with our good friends Taija and Rowan for the next year.
